I thought - if it were slow around 29:00 Webb could take it from Ritz, But if was won in a fast I thought Ritz would win it - I mean Craig Mottram only ran 27:56 last year with a bucnh of guys in a pack. Webb is awesome

WOW! I am incredibly impressed with Webb to beat Ritz (who is a great distance runner, make no mistake about it) at 10,000m. The strongest miler in the world? He's well on his way.
This must be a huge breakthrough for Fam as well. Awesome.
Ritz is going to get bashed to no end for losing to Webb here, but he did set a PR which, to me at least, proves he's in much better shape than the 13:25 he ran last week. He's had a lot of bad luck in the recent past but still ran a PR...the best is yet to come.
great job boulder
how'd that 28:08 go, f***stick?
Didn't Webb run 13:46 at Penn Relays 2 years ago....and we were all ecstatic over it?? (13:46 x 2 almost equals the 10K).
That puts Webb at what, 8th all time for U.S.?
That would make it seem like sub-13 for Webb this year is almost a formality.
Webb is king. Good run for Ritz though. I can see him running an AR later in the year if he gets in a quick 10k and stays healthy. He might even run under 13:15 for 5k this year.
Webb has to be considered one of the top american runners of all time now. what range he has displayed from 800-10k now. What will he be able to run 5k in over in europe this summer?
some really impressive runs up front, but props to the ASC crew too
Mario Macias...whoa, this guy is freakin' on fire!!
good p.r. for Brandon Leslie as well

I'm too young to know the details, but didn't Culpepper start out as a miler and do well at pretty much every distance? Not as well as Webb, but it doesn't seem to be unprecedented that someone would be able to perform competitively in the US at every distance. When you run a 13:10 5k, how much dropoff was everyone expecting at 10k? It may not be Webb's best event, but when he is fricken as good as he is at the mile and 5k, this 10k shouldn't be much of a surprise.
Great race! Let's see more of these!
