It was a 1:46.9 (so almost a 1:47) last 800 with a rolling start and almost total drafting. Just with the rolling start its more like a 1:47.5.
Lagat ran in several fast circuit races in Europe during his peak years over 800, and could manage no faster than 1:46.0.
Of course a 3:26 1500 guy should have no problems running at worst 1:44 for 800, but then EPO is an amazing drug for improving 1500 but not so much over 800. It also screws up the ability to predict 800 times based on 1500 times and vice versa.
