So USADA allowed an athlete using EPO to continue competing without any sanction in return for this athlete providing evidence about wider doping. No evidence seems to have been forthcoming but the athlete never suffered any consequences. How can athletes have any faith that USADA is acting in their interests?
I wonder who it was? If it's EPO then it's an endurance athlete and WADA says the athlete is now retired. So, were down to distance runners or cyclists.
It was the steeplechaser evan jager and the female who got lucky and won the 2017 world Championships steeple after the far superior and favoured runner missed a jump but has been a$$ ever since.

Yet posters here still claim that the Brits are all dirty, while Hocker going from getting outkicked by Gourely and Reynould Cheruiyot at Pre, to running the craziest last 300 ever, in a 3:27 Olympic final 10 weeks later, is as wholesome as American Pie.

We know it is an American who has retired.
The article seems to suggest it happened before 2021.

What kind of intelligence did USADA even gain from letting this guy go? I can't think of many positive cases for EPO in the US since 2021.

But this here is an interesting statement, that - if true - explains why there are so few whistleblowers:
any publication of consequences or disqualification of results would put the athlete’s security at risk

it can help any track athlete, even field athletes because one can handle more volume and still recover
granted it probably was an endurance athlete of some sort, but that is by no means a sure thing

As someone as mentioned we learned during BALCO that Marion Jones was on it heavy... EPO is great for recovery which simply allows you to train harder. Not exclusively beneficial to endurance athletes.
