Kenya is an underdeveloped African country and some of its runners are given drugs by bush doctors in shady pharmacies in small towns and villages. Look at some of the drugs they test positive for. They don't even seem to understand the basics of micro dosing etc.
Are you telling me that in the US /West runners aren't getting the latest and best treatments advice and drugs that are basically undetectable because testing agencies don't even know about them?
The only person on drugs in the US ate a bad burrito?
The amount of downvotes in these threads are funny, presumably from Kenyan lurkers. We all know that doping is all but systematic in Kenya. We all hope there is a gene test at some point to make marathon running interesting again. Can literally believe no result from anyone who spends significant time in Kenya.
Anyone who has trained there has seen how open it is. Given the antidoping resource it is a losing battle.
t trust any Kenyan times. Sebastian Coe keeps giving them a pass. When all the Russians were doping they banned all Russian runners. All Kenyan runners should be banned for a period.
Always going to be the greatest predictor of future doping bans. It does seems like she was shadow-banned from more prominent marathons because her results in 2019-20 would signal someone who could be invited to majors/gold level events.

Ridiculous.
I agree with you on just about everything but "bush doctors". Trust me, the doctors in this part of the world are very good and world-class (most of them, anyway). They are not "bush" anything; the part of Kenya with all the runners is not a bush. That said, not all health workers that run clinics and pharmacies are doctors or pharmacists; you also have nurses, nursing assistants, and pharmaceutical assistants, etc.
I believe India has the most banned athletes. Kenya is number two. Russia with systematic doping and a ban in place due to the war, are not getting OOCs tests now. So, likely near 100%.
For the third world countries, they are chasing survival money. For Russia it is the prestige and ego of winning.
The bourgeois wanted amatuerism for this reason. Desperate people take desperate measures.
The only problem with that is you would ever see what the human body is truly capable of.
wonder how many third world people will compete in the Enhanced Games and run stupid fast personal bests?
It's not a stretch to assume that in a country where making it big in running is one of the only "outs" that those runners may be naive and very trusting of whatever their coaches, support etc. gives them. I wouldn't be surprised if a number of busted Kenyan runners were actually unaware that the "vitamins" they were given were actually just PEDS. Does that excuse the violation? No, but it paints a slightly different picture than the American, Russian, and Spanish dopers etc. that are knowingly taking PEDs. Both are deserving of suspension, but only 1 deserves slightly more compassion. That said, I'm sure there are plenty of Kenyan runners who are fully aware of what they are taking so....

Lol. What facts, rekrunner? That Mo has a kick but will eternally be SlowMo? Or do you count your many stupid off-topic questions as facts?
Lol. You literally answered with three stupid off-topic questions.
Lol. Those questions were a direct response to the fake news that you posted facts, when in reality you just asked 26 stupid thread-derailing questions out of nowhere, just to rekrunner yet another thread.

They only banned athletes that tested positive then banned them if they continued to associate with the government because of state sponsored.
