Makes me happy, old McChesney threads on here got me amped up to train as a HS kid, one of my favorite underrated heroes of the Oregon era.

The whole McChesney was great. The family was the epitome of Oregon track, including the father.
Underrated? He was one of the most hyped runners ever, when he arrived at Oregon and ended up setting the school records for the 5 and 10. It’s a shame that he was injured so often and never had a chance to reach his full potential.
You can find so much on Pre, Salazar, even Chapa, but for the modern kid finding stuff about Billy meant you came to the boards. Total badass.
