I think it's crazy that no one is even talking about how after a 3:34 1500m PR, Nico casually runs a solo 13:36, not even 2 hours later which ought to easily qualify him for regionals.
Probably because he did better than that twice in a row recently. I imagine that was something like a quick tempo for him. How hard would it be for you to do 13 minutes at somewhere between 10k and half marathon pace?

Me personally? 2 hours after an all-out mile, 13 minutes at slightly slower than 10k pace would be tough as hell. But I'm middle aged and not very fast anymore.
