Wow, amazing stuff. Thanks for sharing.

I don’t know about best, but Robert Gary is definitely the hottest.
I'm sorry you can't hurdle? This argument is so tiring.
im sorry you're not fast enough to run the 5k
Whoo ever EKUs coach is, they have someone in the final every year
Tons of respect for that program, but big difference getting from 8:44 to 8:23...
Georgetown with Brandon Bonsey. They don't even have a SC pit, and have produced some very good steeplers; Parker Stokes, Darren Fahy, Scott Carpenter, Ryan Gil, Dylan Sorensen, etc.
Carson Williams, Furman redshirting this Spring, just won Stanford meet in 8:27. I believe fastest he has coached so have to put Montana State, EKU, BYU all way ahead.
I think the woman at EKU coaches the steeplers. She's doing a great job!
Sean Cleary WVU Women Australia,Canada,USA
Weese Montana State. Quietly building a consistent solid crew of steeplers every year
Wetmore had several others do well besides the obvious ones Billy Nelson, Slattery, Coburn. Val Constein made the 2021 Olympic team, Borman was 2nd at NCAAs 6 or 7 years ago...
Pascal Dobert has had many a good steepler…he’s an assistant so maybe doesn’t get his due…
Wetmore wins for men and women college and pros by far and away. Looks like Cole Mathison will be next Olympian. Not sure how Wetmore vs assistant/wife split duties).
Eyestone next up with college/pro, but believe he works with only the men. Depth as well as quality.
Shumacher/Dobert obviously the crème, but so much more talent than all the others, hard to compare.
Gary a closer than people realize with great work with Garcia, Tescuck and Bush along with Jennings and Gear started at Furman too (but Rita may have been primary)
But current top 5 would be EKU, BYU (both), Georgetown (especially men) until 1500 woman gets switched out, ND (Sparks coaches both genders), and Montana State.
I thought NC State would be in there, but Steelman only one can remember and she may have been better at Wofford?
They have a redshirt who has broken 8:30 twice this season and Robert does not coach the women....BUT they do have someone with a 10:30 sb so that could get in
Sparks does not coach the ND male steeplers. Neal handles this.
And Mathison looks like the next Olympian for Wetmore? He has a 8:48 PB. Guess there’s lots of future Olympians in the NCAA in that case!
