America is constantly bashed as culture-less. However the rest of the world looks to America for all things music, fashion and entertainment.
How can the rest of the world consume our culture, while at the same time claiming we have none?

The US has culture, it's just not on a very high level for the most part.
Americans tend to be rude, fat and obsessed with work and money. Family life and leisure is secondary unlike other countries. Yes outsiders like American products but cuisine, fashion and entertainment is also big locally. Not necessarily all American.
It's called jealousy and envy. People feel emasculated living in the sh!tbox countries around the world, so they focus their resentments on America as if it's our fault they live miserable lives.
They don't.
I've worked in ~30 countries. Rarely (not never) do I hear people criticizing American culture.
It's mostly insecure Americans who want to be like the western European cool kids who criticize our culture.
All cultures have their good and bad aspects. And all have huge variation between individuals of course and also between regions and subgroups. Is everyone in the US the same? Your state? Your town? Your neighborhood? Your family? It's good to understand cultural preconceptions and worldviews to interact with people, but that only gets you so far.
Admittedly, I spend most of my time in "developing countries", where lots of people would love to come to the US, and often have relatives who already have, and not in the European cook kid countries that are so culturally superior to us troglodyte Americans.
Jealousy.
And they all want to move here and take advantage of what we've created for 248 years.
Because US culture is half freak show. Just loud and brash. People either love or hate it.
cool kid
Because on the one hand, we have great entertainers. On the other hand, we have millions of M@GA idiots. So there's good reason to admire and despise us at the same time.
Everyone likes running naked, but not everyone would admit it. So they just enjoy watching others doing this.

Yeah, I turned on the TV in Spain and saw our worst talk shows translated.
I think the bashing started when all the Woke stuff started. Beyond that America is a great country. I know when I travel abroad most other countries look down on certain people who visit their country because they bring their nasty habits with them.
too late, you're outed as living with cannibals. Which countries do they still cook people?
The only American media I watch is:
A: Fox news excerpts to laugh at America
B: Laughable Boston marathon "coverage" to laugh at how bad it is.
Last American film I enjoyed was Bladerunner sequel

Music, fashion, and entertainment:
You make good movies and TV shows, that is for certain. Although the British make far superior sitcoms (nothing made in America has ever risen to the level of Blackadder, The Office, Only Fools and Horses, and Yes Minister) and boss the fantasy adventure movie genre.
I also think it says a lot that the richest person in the world - you know, the guy with very valuable fashion brands and businesses - is French. And, the only American shoe brands in my wardrobe are Sperry and aging Saucony's; everything else is European & Japanese (Asics).
The UK also punches above its weight in the media sector. There was a time when CNN was almost as respectable as the BBC; your stupid partisan culture that enabled Fox News put a stop to that - the BBC is now the only global news powerhouse. I am sure the BBC website and the Guardian is the first stop for State Department staffers when they need to know what is going on around the world before they finally check the NYT. And for business executives, the Economist, FT and Reuters will provide all the news and analysis you need; but if you see the need, you can still subscribe to Bloomberg and WSJ.
It’s human behavior. It’s the same reason everyone bashes CA and then copies everything CA does.

Cycling coverage is spotty in my part of the world, so I am often forced to watch pirated streams. Sure, Eurosport has the occasional ad every 30 or so minutes. But God forbid I land on an American stream; the frequency of the ads is RIDICULOUS.
USA is a Unique situation, We have lots of Protest's and people saying how horrible it is, Yet Extremely Few ever Leave it, and MANY risk their lives to come to the USA, The Truth can be revealed in a Person's actions more than their words, If the USA was REALLY such a Horrible Oppressive Country wouldn't people try to leave it? They talk about building a wall to stop so many people from coming here, If it was really a Horrible Country, why would people want to come? If it was really horrible wouldn't any talk of building a wall be to stop so many people from leaving it?
"It's almost like they despise us because they are not us."
"They hate us because they anus."
"Haha, that's right, Dave! They hate us because they AIN'T us!"
