Guys like Rupp and Nico Young had “zero leg speed” until suddenly they had enough to dominate NCAA fields. Others like Hall and Ritz never became speed merchants but they managed to have pretty nice pro careers.

Wahhh Wahh Wah my highschool PR was a 5:17, I never even made varsity so now as a 20something parents basement man I hate on someone way better than me for absolutely no reason
