records which she wouldn'thave got if she were in keiths position because america puts school children on a pedestal and has to make a big deal about the most mediocre of talenta simply because to them, america is the center of the world
What are you talking about, Bro? There are lots of runners from other countries competing in the NCAA.
uhhh the fact that there are those from other countries is irrelevant. its the fact that they amplify anything that happens in their little sphere. like calling competitions the "world series"
Valby is way younger than Keith - April to September is a huge difference. She would be in a completely different grade in HS - even assuming that she isnt age- cheating (like most non- Americans do).
"Different grade in HS" is literally age cheating.
People can be the exact same age, same birthday, and end up in different grades in the US, and elsewhere, because the state/local school systems vary, or somebody gets bumped up or down a grade for reasons having nothing to do with sports.
Good performance for Megan but she was dragged to that time and only placed 8th, Valby won and solo most of her races including her 14:52.
Impressed by both but young ladies but Valby will run faster than Megan if she stays healthy and she make the U.S Olympic team in either/both 5000 and 10000m in 2024
You didn't see the race, did you? You've seen the time and place and made an incorrect assumption about how it played out.
Keith led the race from 3k when the pacer stepped off, right up until the bell. She got kicked down on that final lap but she ran brave and there's no sense in which she was "dragged" to that time. 14:43 in a race in which Gidey only ran 14:37 tells you how good a performance that was
the point isnt whether valby could get close to that time
the point is the ridiculous amount of hype and craze that gets on american mediocre athletes for no reason. compared to a comparably talented british runner who doesnt get fawned over at all
americas obsession and overhyping with regard to the athetics of school children really holds it back on the world stage
Capitals and apostrophes, please. In fact, any grammar would serve you well.
The arrogance of someone trying to dictate how others write their posts never ceases to amaze me.

Valby has had pacers in pretty much all her recent races except when she ran 14:52. Rodenfels paced Valby for 4k when she ran 14:56, in the NCAA 3k Asekol paced her and Markezich was up front, in the 10k she had two pacers. In her 3k at SECs she had multiple pacers...
Keith is also on a big upswing so hard to say who is better.
