Hamstring injury . Mostly healed but not 100% and it has never come back to 100% without a little pain. Can stretching daily fix it? Radiates from hip to knee . I would rather not get surgery .
I had lingering hamstring pain for well over a year, but it didn't hurt any more when running. I just ran through it, while being a little careful about speed work. Probably not good advice but that was my experience.
I didn't stretch it. Somehow that just didn't feel right.
I said surgery only because it has never fully healed , but yes possibly sciatica. Not sure what other information to give . It essentially just feels tight and doesn’t go away . Like it’s locked up .

Try metal tool scraping (Graston Technique) and do ‘nerve flossing’.

Stretching will only do so much. Eventually you need to build up strength again in the muscle. This can be done indirectly by strengthening the glute and hip muscles, and directly with targeted hamstring exercises. To me, the best exercise is the Nordic Curl. I had nagging hamstring injuries as well and that cleaned it up. Good luck!
