You and Armstronglivs should read the thread about suicide among NCAA athletes. If you think it's fine for him to insult Parker's intelligence, and to accuse her of doping, then you are as bad as him.
You are correct. She is the best American runner in history. She is humble and intelligent. Just because she is good looking, some old men think they're permitted to be sexist by insulting her intelligence.
Why? Her training and racing schedule wouldn't change. Pounding out 100 miles on the road is what injures many runners. Racing a few 3000 meter races doesn't injure them.

I'm more worried about suicide amongst fans. Don't do anything you'll live to regret. Actually you won't live to regret it but don't do it anyway.
Well if she wants to be relevant on the world level 3k and up she needs the rocket fuel that most of the others are on anyways. Harsh reality but the absolute truth.

I like Valby a lot. I’m a big fan. She’s got a huge upside and seems like a good person. We need that in women’s distance running in the US.
What I find repulsive and really weird are people like TMADDDHASFNE that are obsessed with her and stalkerish. The athletes are uncomfortable with all of that also. Probably more so than all of the do-nothings that bash on them and degrade them. That’s why they largely stay away from this forum. It’s just really weird stuff.
this was my first thought as well, but I think we would all have said something similar about george beamish in college. sometimes athletes can change. and while the top of womens steeple is very strong and pretty young, I'd rather take my chances with them than the 14:00 types.
I could totally see her transitioning into steeplechase when she turns pro. she has a similar body/gate as Emma Coburn. it's a matter of balance and desire.
Krissy Gear dabbled in steeplechase during college but never got serious about it until she turned pro and she immediately crushed it.
