Hi! I've been running for 2 months now after signing up for a local 5k running an 18:30 with two weeks of some easy runs prior to that race. After building base up to 25 miles past two months im gonna follow Jack Daniels red plan for fitness which I hope will work well. If so, im planning to do the blue plan afterwards, it does seem though that the step up is quite big, going from 20-30 miles to 40-50 miles instantly. I've been thinking about redoing the red plan with it's optional days, or just a month of easy runs to build up to the higher aquired milage of the blue plan, but im not sure what my best option is here...or whether there are better ways! So my question is whether anyone else has run these programs and has found a nice way to transition from the red plan to the blue plan? Lastly, im also a bit curious how the programs went for you in terms of progression on your times, which i know are impossible to compare but just for the fun of it hahah.
