idk
None of that makes sense. Cutting a tendon would make scar tissue. And tenex isnt use for tenotomy. And not sure what you mean by within tendons?
I might be misunderstanding - I thought tenex was used to remove unhealthy/scar tissue from tendons? So I am just curious about whether percutaneous tenotomy can be used to remove scar tissue even if not specifically a tendon issue.
A true percutaneos tenotomy means cutting a tendon. Do you mean scar tissue from skin?
Tenex is a non specific heated probe that essentially bores holes in things. Its best used for tendonous insertions (and fascia). It would created a lot of scar tissue on skin. Its one of several modalities that came out in the last 20 yrs that even the reps cant tell you why it works (sometimes). The first one being extra corporeal shock wave.
I like to look at it as a way to turn chronic scar/pathology into acute scar pathology "hoping" it will heal better the second time! Which is to say its about the most non specific treatment you will ever see.
