RIP young man. I hope his family, friends, and teammates are able to find healing in this incredibly difficult time.
I ran against him a few times at their home races, phenomenal runner. It's a tragedy to hear this news.

Very well said. Thank you for your post.
Look, I think there's certainly room for improvement in the moderation, but how much ad revenue has this thread generated, like $0.45?
I've raced frank many times but didn't meet him until this last indoor. Before both my races, I was nervous, and talking with Frank pre-race really helped me calm down. He was incredibly kind and funny. I was devastated to hear the news and I will never forget those pre-race moments.
I didn't know Frank well, but from the short time I got to share with him, I know that the world has suffered a major loss. Rest in peace, Frank.
Just an FYI for all those who have speculated about the nature of this young athlete's passing, his mother came out recently to say that this was an accidental death (accidental discharge at a shooting range while cleaning his gun). I didn't link the source, but a quick google search confirms this information. This is simply so sad on many levels. Continued prayers to all of those grieving.

A LRC visitor has emailed us a screenshot of an instagram post where his mother Jessica wrote, "My son was at a job interview to become a copy and his gun misfired and killed him."
I have found two news articles on his passing.
On Sovanow, it has this about the cause of death:
SovaNow wrote:
The family said the one thing that has been truly upsetting about their son’s passing was the manner in which it was being portrayed by some people, online and in the public. The cause of death, they said, appears to be an accidental discharge from cleaning a gun.
“Basically it’s a terrible tragedy,” Alex said. He added that the family has been in touch with the Lynchburg Police Department which is investigating the incident. Added Jessica Csorba: “I posted that it was an accidental shooting while cleaning the gun; I posted that on Facebook.” She did so, she said, “because the rumor mill had already started that he committed suicide.”
It adds they are waiting for a police departments official ruling.
The other article has this about his cause of death:
The Sun wrote:
On Saturday, Jessica took to Facebook to blast the "rumor mill" and announced that Csorba died "from an accidental shooting while cleaning his gun after using it at a shooting range."
Thank you for providing clarifying evidence of his cause of death. It's still sad to learn it was an accidental cause.
Almost as if this place is one of those awful rumor mills that his mother had to address while mourning.
God bless Frank. Tragic day as he would have just finished the 5K n the national championship. Never forget.
