No, it actually hurts you in dating when you're a way bigger Taylor Swift fan than them. I had to find a girl that bought her debut CD back in 06 just to have any serious conversation about her. We'll be getting married on December 13th, 2025
Liking Taylor Swift will not help you get girls. Telling girls they are F-ing dumb basses for liking Taylor Swift will get you girls. Girls like overconfident sigmas who will put them in their place. Usually girls don't know what they like anyway, so as a man it's your duty to suggest actual good music for them to try. Having a lot of money obviously helps too. If you like Taylor Swift as a heterosexual man, it's best to keep it to yourself just like you should keep it to yourself if you like ballet.
1) donate money to others everyday, including many homeless people
2) support local businesses and their workers in various cities
3) support young women pursuing an education/career financially
I do these every single day, in fact.
Actually I can name 3 more:
1) Incessantly troll the LR messageboards with absolutely bottom-of-the-barrel garbage replies everyday
2) Write fictional accounts of my fantasies (usually involving women) on the boards and pass them off as the truth (despite being the least believable tripe you'll come across on here today)
3) Remind you that THEY are out to get you, THEY'RE out there manipulating us and controlling our media and putting chemicals in the water to make us all g@y and blah, blah, blahh
While I definitely don't condone his actions, I don't know if he really fits the definition of an incel. Incel means involuntarily celibate. This guy (if he's telling the truth) is definitely not celibate.
I’d like to take this opportunity to brag that I have never heard a t swift song in my entire life. How I accomplished this feat:
1) 99% of what I listen to is Spotify. At least two hrs a day, 365 days a year. I’m a metal/rap head so it’s easily avoidable. 2) If by some microscopic chance I’m relegated to the radio (been years since this has happened), I know exactly how to find the classic rock radio station. 97.1 the River baybee
3) I don’t watch smooth-brain, slack-jawed stupld sh*t on tv in which her music would be featured. 4) Luck

Ya that's like someone calling Kareem or LeBron a bad basketball player. His attack says more about him than me.
So I run with a few guys who have been talking about Taylor Swift's new album and generally talking/listening to her a lot over the last year with the whole Eras tour. I assumed this was just to get some conversations started with chicks and have some common ground about the terrible music they like (like how hair metal took off in the 80s and dudes were genuinely listening to Poison and Motley Crue to get some play). But now I'm not so sure. So, any Swifty runners out there, do you listen to her music genuinely? I'm trying not to hate but I just don't get what a grown man could find in a woman in her 30s writing breakup songs like teenager in her diary!
I interact with a lot of people in the music industry, and I assure you that there are a large number who listen to Swift's music and like it. There are others for whom Swift's pop music is not their thing, but say that they think she is a talented songwriter and a top level professional in the business.
I'm in a third group. I have only heard a handful of Swift's songs in my life because it isn't the kind of music I write about. But the songs I've heard are good pop songs.
Would you question guys that like Aretha Franklin, Stevie Nicks, Joan Jett, Janis Joplin, Bonnie Raitt, Billie Holiday, Chrissie Hynde, Deborah Harry, Patti Smith, Linda Ronstadt, Dolly Parton, Carly Simon, Pat Benatar, Kate Bush, Sheryl Crow, Missy Elliott??? (They are all in the R&R hall of fame).
None of those artists have anything in common with Swift besides having a vagina

I am more of a grunge guy myself. My son who is 20 is special needs. Two things make him happy; mind craft and Taylor Swift. We go out and jog in the hill trails. When he does a good job of keeping up I reward him with listening to Taylor Swift on the ride home. I don't begrudge people for disliking her but maybe the fact that she makes a lot of vulnerable people happy might keep people from disparaging her so quickly.
