hi guys! basically, im a sophomore girl right now that does xc/track and next xc season i really want to break 20 in the 5k. my current pr is 23:51, but thats without a lot of summer training and i was out for a few weeks last season with strep x2. anyways, does anyone have any tips or a training plan that i could use this summer to reach this goal? also, im debating this goal because in track im more of a sprinter (run 600m indoors and 400m hurdles outdoor), so i dont know if this will take away from my sprinting ability? i run a 1:04 400m and 1:45 600m. would running a faster 5k help that or hurt it?
