not really. Running has going back awards. Only the top guys, drugs w a little help of the shoes. In the past we had bunch of runners at 2'11-2'15 range . Running is NOT moving forward. Look at Boston Marathon 1983, almost 100 runners ran sub 2'19
That is 27.5s per mile. Can this same rate be applied to Mile, 2-Mile, 5000 and 1000 races?

Truth. Why do you think all of these distances are being bettered by so much since Nike's first carbon fiber shoe? I have a pair of Hokas and am looking forward to PRing at 59 lol (torn MCLs have me on the DL)
