So less than half the normal nxn field. It is vastly different than the nxn fields when Nike pays everyone to show up. We can also debate the absurd course. Maybe in a normal year they only go 1, 5,6,10…
None of this should take away the absurdity of debating if one school could have beaten the rest of the nation in a dual meet. Or even just 2 monster schools
His 8:38 is so impressive because its so much of a standout performance. But youre bonkers if you think he had any chance of beating Aaron in XC.
11th grade nationals---
Aaron: 6th place
Jaster: 73rd
12 grade nationals:
Aaron: 1st place
Jaster: 70th
I really like Jaster too! Think he's a great kid. But youre doing a disservise to the impressivness of his race at Arcadia by pretending hes always been this good.
Timo seems pretty wise to me. I actually had the chance to talk to him once, when I was young(er) and dumb(er). He was very polite and friendly. I thought about joining the lds church after.
>>Now we can debate how much of a national meet running lane was.
As I recall, the top 9 teams in the country were there. There were some individuals missing, but every year loses some to injury, and then the NXN/Footlocker split. What's there to debate? It was arguably as strong as any NXN field has been in terms of top teams/runners of that year actually being there.

What are you talking about?? Have you no idea what RunningLane is like? None??
The top 9 teams were there, plus plenty of other top 50 teams, including some top 20.
Here's the results. You will see top to bottom the usual NXN suspects.

You're a clown for not looking at the Arcadia results. These teams aren't even the same as they were during Cross Country. Simmons could beat Sahlman and the Youngs easy. Especially if the course was Runninglane. Ben Jaster was 5th at Arcadia and ran 8:38, he would be up there too. Evans ran 8:46. Steadman, Hofheins, Beckstrom, and Bradshaw all run under 9 as well. All these guys would be in front of Appleford as he never broke 9. This means that they would put a 6 and 7 in front of Newbury Park's 5. Don't think it wouldn't be close because it would.
Then you are a clown lover for not knowing Aaron Sahlman ran an 8:01 3000m the first time he ever ran the distance in high school. Or maybe ever. That's includes the 3200m. So that's about an 8:36 if you wanna bounce 3200m times around. I know he ran slower at Arcadia that spring, but that means he sucked at an 8:48 and in all honestly did not run smart or look like he even cared. And you need to do your research on Appleford's 8:52. Heck...he broke 9 in 11th grade. That year if Leo young did not get sick and is able to go a few seconds faster at Arcadia, NP has 5 break 9 in the same race. And don't forget

(continued) Doshi ran 9:01 a few minutes before in the seeded race.
