Signed up for the Cooper River 10k. I should get a first wave start. I work regularly in Charleston and have run the bridge a number of times but not at 10k pace.
I ran a 27:2x low 5 mile on a hilly course 3 weeks ago. Feel like my fitness has improved a little bit since then.
Last 2 Weekly workouts:
6x1 mile @ 5:30 - 5:15 with 2:30 jog recovery.
2 miles in 10:50, 3 minute break, 4 x mile with 2 minute break 5:16, 5:17, 5:20, 5:14.
Hoping to break 34 minutes at the Cooper River race.
Interested in others' experience/ advice. Weather looks ideal for race day with a moderate cross/tailwind going across the bridge.
