I've been stuck around 18:00-18:20 for 2 years or more.
Mileage has been anywhere from 35-50 miles per week. Typical week is 3-4 runs at 8 minutes per mile and a workout at 5:30-6 minutes per mile. Age is mid 30s.
I lack stamina to maintain sub 6 pace. Should I experiment with 6:20-6:50 minute mile runs (sub threshold to marathon pace)? Long runs? I want to get more out of my current mileage.
