What are your pros and cons for a low stress-high workout frequency a la Doug Padilla versus a classic high stress workout followed by one or more days of recovery running-concept?
Isn't it bad, especially for non-proffessionals who have to stay energetic the whole day for work/studies to do hard workouts?
A classic week for an ambitious distance could be 2 hard days like 10m steady-state, 4x1mile@5k-pace and a long run.
Why not splitting up the whole thing and do two days of 5m steady-state, 2 days of 2x1mile@5k-pace(and the long run)?
You would recover pretty quickly, feel strong everyday, could run fast every day and would have a lot of energy for the rest of the day.Input from physioligical and personal experience as well appreciated.
