Definitely not. Look at will sumner for example: won ncaa's (1:44) and has been quietly training under Justin Rinaldi. At any given point, if healthy, he could hop in a pro race and do pretty well for himself considering rinaldi's training has proven itself again and again. Point is, silence doesnt mean they are out or done, it means they dont feel the need to announce every single thing they do.

You can't compare men to woman. For the most part men get faster as they mature. Same is not always true for woman.
I don't think we are talking about silence. We are talking about something being wrong at NCAA outdoor nationals last year. People claimed that she had an issue. Are you now claiming that she got smoked in the 1500 and then ducked the 5000 while fully healthy? We are talking about her losing to Valby every time they met this fall. Tuohy claimed to be sick. Are you now saying that she was healthy amd just made up an excuse? And she vanished after that. So we saw her a bunch of times but now silence.
Saying she has an injury and bought a house are not the things that would indicate somebody is not done. Saying she had some great workouts are the normal things that we expect. Mary Cain bought a house and has an injury so I guess that means she is far from done.
Does that mean she is making granola or she is a part owner?
based on the IG post it seems she is going to be making her own batch/flavor of their granola product. She was asking for flavor suggestions. If it extends more than that no one knows.

It means she is going the direction of Colleen Quigley, Allie Ostrander, and Matt Choi rather than the direction of Addy Wiley, Parker Valby, and Olivia Markezich. For some, it's all about Instagram followers; for others, it's about winning races. "Influencers" will make more money but champions will be remembered.
Or maybe it is about having opportunities because she has been a positive role model in the sport for years. Plus she has done her share of winning. I guess we will wait to see how things pan out in five years. Also, championship of what? No female US distance runner is winning gold anytime soon.

Chill out. She and Valby raced each other 2 times last fall. Twice. Saying ‘every time they met this fall’ implies some long losing streak to her.
Valby is incredible and Tuohy almost held her own, one of those times while sick. There is no shame in losing to one of the greatest NCAA women’s talents. So calm tf down.
Also, you conveniently leave out the fact that she placed 8th in a US national 5000 race, beating Kelati and right behind Henes, a mid-14:40s runner.
You're massaging a lot of facts to fit your nonsense narrative. She’s fine. She’s probably training.
Oh yes. That is what people remember. Lolll. It seems you have nxn, ncas xc championship, the WCs and the Olympics. That is about the extent of the interest.
