Definitely think this maybe the team to beat for xc next year, and possibly even Drake and state titles

Yes they will have a shot, but can’t count out the 2 teams that beat them at the state meet - Cedar Falls and Dowling Catholic - who each return 5 varsity guys
Nobody is beating Dowling. There were some Cedar Falls fans making those predictions last summer. Looks like they are starting early.
And they continue to make outlandish predictions pertaining to Heidesch's records going down.
I remain curious about Wedemeyer transferring to PV. How does this happen? She is a state champ. PV has another girl who has finished 2nd. Their relays will be ridiculous.
Anyone have a list of where the top Iowa boys and girls class of '24 are headed next year?
Dorenkamp Arkansas
Verde ISU
Leitzen ISU
Gehl Iowa
Never going to have a class close to the one last year. Army, Duke, Northwestern, ISU, NAU, Arkansas, BU, Iowa.
I'm more curious about some of the "other" senior girls..These Iowa threads fixate on 3 teams and about 4 runners. The best runner of last year's boys class may turn out to be none of the above (keep your eye on Missoula).
I got curious about this after seeing Maloney is headed to a service academy. Also, I think Dorenkamp is headed to Alabama (not Arkansas).
You are correct. That was truely a brain glitch since she is going south to a red team starting with A.
To say Thompson is one of the other guys is inaccurate. He ran the 2nd fastest 800 of all seniors last season. If you are looking for someone who is not in the top 5 in one of the 3 distance events, they won't be somebody who goes on to be elite in college.
PV 3200, Who the hell is Carl Rekow in 9:19 with Quentin Nauman in 9:20, that kid has to have some of the best range in the state right now as only a sophomore, John Maloney in 9:26 I heard he’s going to a service academy, IDK which one.
Agreed. Nauman will run times in 400-3200 that Nash ran last year. I think he is the top recruit in his class which includes some good runners.
Cedar Falls is racing in cedar rapids today.
Ahmed aldamak - open 800
Connor Martin and Jaden Merrick - 1600
Appears adam gray is also racing in the 3200 and the 1600 (kennedy)
Where are you seeing the entries?

1:54.50 as a freshman is crazy good. Combined with his distance chops he was every potential to run a very fast mile as an upperclassman.
Very disappointing results.
Getting nervous that some of the top runners haven't qualified in anything and only have a few meets to do it.

there's still three weeks...
It is more about the fact that the guys ran so slow yesterday.
Supposedly weather was rough, friend is a coach and their 4x4 got cancelled
Colin Sahlman runs 1:45 and Nico Young runs 1:47 in the 800m tonight at the Desert Heat Classic
