Alabama proved to day that they are the best college football team not only in the world but IN THE UNIVERSE. They should be in the playoff and they will win.
Based on strings pulled by ESPN which owns the broadcasting rights to SEC games. A vastly overrated conference, where former doormats get ranked in the top 10, and former to 10 ten teams (Auburn) get crunched non-power 5 teams. And where 'bama expects to leapfrog over Texas who soundly beat them.
Texas beat Alabama and destroyed a very good OSU team but I really doubt the committee will select Texas even they could probably beat any team. They would destroy Michigan
Georgia is out. Alabama is in. Texas is in. Michigan is in after they destroy Iowa. That leaves us with Washington. Florida State is out too- even if they beat Louisville. The Seminoles have lost their starting QB and if they get in, they will get blown out. They are overrated.
The committee is tasked to select the best 4 teams NOT the most deserving 4 teams.
My best 4 teams are (not necessarily in this order):

Sorry, but Alabama exposed Georgia as being overrated. Alabama has a random guy as QB ... no one special, just a body to help beat the 2nd tier team slate each SEC teams plays.
Troll. Texas had their way with them. The SEC needs to be left out of the CFP this year.

Very good OSU team? Have you seen some of their losses?
The SEC needs to stay home this year to be taught that playing a weak schedule, and refusing to play at non-conference teams home stadiums is not a way to cheat their way into the playoffs. Let the tears flow at ESPN.

South Alabama 33-7
UCF 45-3
Lost to Iowa State
Need OT to beat BYU
As compared to Alabama's wins against a bunch of weak teams chosen to pad their wins.

FSU will get blown out by Texas, Michigan, Washington or Alabama. FSU does not belong in the top 4, period. Alabama & Texas are both in no matter what.
Again, the committee is tasked to pick the 4 BEST teams NOT the 4 most DESERVING teams.
Sorry FSU fans, you're out.

Washington, MIchigan and FSU are in if undefeated. That’s how it works from power conferences.
Alabama is in.
Going undefeated in the SEC is more impressive than than losing 1 game in Big 12. Head to head isn’t the only factor. The Jets beat the Eagles this year. Shit can happen in any game. Alabama’s win over Georgia is more impressive than Texas’ win over Alabama.
But if you beat someone in the last game of year it does factor so no way Georgia gets in ahead of Alabama.
They should make the playoff reserved for top two teams from SEC and top two from Big Ten. Alabama, Georgia, Michigan, Ohio State. That’s it. Forever until people stop watching it. Which is essentially forever.
