What are some sophmore names we should look out for in the next couple years in Texas XC and track?
You should look out for Elizabeth Leachman this year but thats well known. And probably Macy Wingard. For the boys, theres Caden Leonard and Camden Gibson.
Southlake girls have a couple solid sophomores with Vanessa Vezga and Luna Gutierrez. Vanessa was on the state squad, but with 2:14 800 speed except more in future at distance. Luna didn't run most of the Fall, but in March as a Freshman ran a 17:58 track 5000.
Some top teams are getting solid contributions from sophomores
Southlake Carroll: Caden Leonard
Austin Vandegrift: Kai McCullough
The Woodlands: Grayer Bates
The Woodlands College Park: Camden Gibson and Yannick Broos
Katy Tompkins: Griffen Sacke

Maddox McCallister (16:07)
Nazim Benguedda (16:14)
