I had to sit through an extensive Bigger Faster Stronger Clinic the other day, which by the way costed loads of cash. Anyway, the stuff was mostly legit. I understand how it builds strength and speed, etc. However, I didn't know what to think when the guy started going off about the best athlete he'd ever trained, and how it was a 100 lb girl XC runner; Who he claims is now running D1 on full scholarship. He was so enthusiastic in explaining how much weight she was box squating and cleaning. I just didn't believe it. I thought that maybe BFS would be useful for distance runners who are underdeveloped. BFS could help them balance their strength. However, what do you guys feel? Is it truly beneficial for high mileage runners to perform these exercises?
