Not saying I agree. But all the people who fly think they should be able to externalize the costs of their behavior without permission, expectation of change, or compensation. That is a more radical perspective objectively than that of those calling for quotas.
Imagine if I threw all my trash out the window of my car, some landed in your yard, some in a public ditch. Then, some people had the audacity to say I should only be able to throw one bag of trash out the window of my car per year. All the while, I wouldn’t be expected to pick up the trash, pay compensation to those effected, or make meaningful plans to stop producing trash.
Literally, the only distinction I can tell is one for of pollution is plainly visible, the other is not. I hope we’re more discerning than that.
