when i first started coaching, i read somewhere that b level coaches hire c and d level assistants. a level coaches hire a level assistants. that has stuck with me for a long time, and I often think about it when i look at particular coaches and staffs.

On the plus side though, I do have to thank you for the sense of personal satisfaction and accomplishment I get every time I read one of your posts and finally figure out just what exactly it was you were attempting to convey. It’s not at all unlike translating a foreign language or unscrambling a coded message.
