I was one of the naysayers last year. I've come around to the idea that she's just really fast. HR last year was probably off (low) because it was from her watch, as some people on here said at the time. If you look at her recent runs she gets in 6-min pace range while still in zone 2. Probably the watch undershooting plus just incredible fitness. Looking at those runs (and even more fast marathon finishes over the past year), this second fast Badwater finish just makes more and more sense. I'm sure there's (legal) supplementation going on, but I base that more on the appearance of her very jacked friend and pacer.
Not likely when she had to submit her unopened containers to prove it.
She didn't cut the course. I believe she doped though.
I ran behind Ashley Paulson at Utah Valley Marathon. She finished a good 10 mins or so ahead of me but for the first half she was within sight. I also briefly talked with her at the starting line(She touched my leg!). I think she's the real deal. She's strong as hell.
She's an influencer so I get why there's some suspicion. She's affiliated with "bucked up" whose product I think is also suspect(having spent some significant time in Utah I will always look at Utah based companies with extra caution bc there are so many con-men and scammers based in Utah. Despite all this I think Ashley Paulson's running accomplishments are 100% legitimate and that's saying something bc I have an ax to grind against anyone coming from Utah(can ya tell I have a chip on my shoulder?). She puts in the time. She lives in St George so she's pretty well acclimated to that climate. She seems to consistently run in the 2:40s and you can tell she's that kind of runner just looking at her form.
I think she legitimately ran all of the course in most of her results. Some were not legit. However, I think she is on the T.
Holy F****ing Sh**. Employee 1.1 just broke 15:00 for 5000 for the 1st time at age 36.
