Jesuit is a solid team but they sure do seem to get on this message board and self promote all season long. Here’s the facts from yesterday:
1. They had a bad day. It happens. Blaming it on the LA state meet (which is a glorified dual meet) is weak. If they are that fragile, they aren’t a championship team. Running at Nike South means you better be ready to compete in a deep, tight, competitive field. Their guys were a total non-factor all day.
2. At their best, they would have been 5th at this meet. They are slightly better than Brother Martin. At their best, they were going to be the 4th team in the South, but light-years behind Southlake Carroll and well back of Bentonville and Vandergrift. Please note that Vandergrift had a terrible day and still finished 3rd.
No need for excuses. They had a bad day. It happens, but they weren’t close to being on the same level as the top 3 teams.
