Has anyone here implemented or have experience with a scott christensen training plan? I based my kids training program on his work this year with mixed results and was wondering if others have had success with it.

Raced against his guys decades ago.
No doubt he was inspired by my teammates, a bunch of current &/or ex-American football players.
Two-hundred-twenty yard speed (we raced yards & meters), he observed is more important than mileage. Mileage is a factor, but not as important as 220 yard dash speed.
He won't mention us, I know.
Back in 2004 I did the USATF Level 2 program. Scott was a big part of it and I thought he did a great job.
i have dabbled in it and found it to work well for a couple, and not so great for others.
i have a couple of 400m runners joining cross this fall, and thinking about working some variation of Christensen with them.
I know Scott and honestly not aware of a specific training plan he has written up. I have bounced ideas and questions by him now and then and he has enthusiastically always given me his input.
Scott will teach to the level he is instructing. If you have taken level 3 with him, he gets into particulars in training fast / slow twitch and identifying specific athlete's traits and how to train to that. I feel comfortable saying that Scott does not believe in a one size fits all training regimen.
Also, I like Scott in that he is a wealth of knowledge but a good listener as well and a lifelong learner. You get the sense that he is always searching for more answers which is why he is so good.
In terms of his successes with his high school team he has combined his scientific approach with building team culture. With individuals he has sacrificed short term goals to allow them to play the long game which explains the number of future sub 4 minute milers that have graduated from Stillwater.
And that brings me to my next point. If you follow his advice and are a high school coach there is a good chance that your athlete will hit their peak at the developmentally appropriate time which is not in high school.
Does Scott still teach the certification courses? And I didn’t ever find one specific training plan of his out there; more so bits and pieces. Examples of workouts and sequencing of workouts throughout a cycle. But some of his workouts vary so greatly between different sources that it’s hard to pinpoint what should be. Based on what you said, that could be him changing workouts to fit athletes. I’ve taken the different training modalities he emphasizes and created my own training plan loosely based on them. I would like to hear straight from the source. I certainly understand it working better for some than others
If you go on the USTFCCCA's convention symposium notes you can see an example of his training plan.
