This race is mismanagement. Chasing road dollars leads to a less impressive track performance. You will not see this from BTC or OAC during track season.
BTC and OAC men who have no outdoor global medals in the 5K/10K? To be clear, I don’t have a problem with Grant/Klecker’s racing this year, but running in World XC like the top Africans did and road races like NYC Half, Lille et al. could’ve worked for them. Aregawi also blasted a road 10K. There is nothing detrimental about the roads. I would expect Jacob Kiplimo, Aregawi and Joshua Cheptegei to be the men to beat in Budapest.
