Fixed your biased and uneducated liberal error.
How much you got? :::licks lips:::
Example after example of perfectly healthy young people ending up with heart issues or death. Yeah, that's all PERFECTLY normal. It's always happened, right? And I love how every vaxxer refuses to consider it has anything to do with the "safe and effective" vaccines. You know the ones that DON'T stop the virus, DON'T stop the spread, DON'T prevent death. But of course, had these folks not gotten them just think of the possibilities of worse things that could have happened!!!!! I mean if you die from it, sheesh, at least they were vaccinated!!!!
Aren’t you supposed to be locked up in a room somewhere looking at pictures of Queen Femke?

You mean corner box store pharmacists and drive through military personal were all perfectly skilled? let’s find out what % of injections followed the best protocol as our government was saying it wasn’t important.

I thought I would stop by this thread to take a peak at what was going on with Sage.
Right before I clicked on it, I paused and said to myself: "wow, 3 full pages and jumping up to the top of the thread list seems odd in a thread about someone going to the hospital". I surmised that the 3 or 4 Letsrun, self taught virologist, right wing antivax nut jobs must have turned the thread into yet another public display of idiocy. After all, it has been their practice to take anyone in the public eye that has a health issue and claim that it must be the jab without any evidence.
I click on the link and immediately see that my instincts proved accurate.
I know those dumb rubes. It's not like the same companies who rushed this "safe and effective" product to market don't have a history of paying Billion dollar fines for lying about the safety of their products.
Funny how quickly the left went from being Woody Haralson "Big Pharma are drug cartels" to if you even question Pfizer you are worse than Alex Jones. Don't worry once you get your 6th booster you'll be protected.
All the extreme vax and antivax talk isnt doing those of us vax injured any justice.
Get well, Sage! Femoral catheterization is no fun no matter how routine or "non-invasive" they try to sell it.
Where is Harambe to remind us it’s a damn good thing Sage got the vax and prevented his body from generating autoimmune antibodies (even though that ONE paper is seriously flawed)? I’m sure Sage is grateful.
God I hope this guy gets better. There is so much collateral damage pushed on us by politician-scientists who rotate between big pharma boards and government.
Thanks for your concern everyone.
I've been doing okay and am out of the hospital.
These were planned procedures, although a bit more invasive than I thought they would be (since I got 3 caths inserted in total in two different procedures that took all day). I'm still not out of the woods yet as there is still infection risk etc, but it really wasn't anything too extreme....I'm not even sure if it's considered "surgery."
I don't have the full results (or even the full medical bill yet), but things are looking pretty solid so far as the main thing we were checking for was chronic/residual blood clots deep down in my lungs as well as testing my pulmonary artery pressure (to name a few).
I'm insured and pay about $386/month for a fairly crappy "catastrophic health insurance" plan with Anthem. As a self employed independent contractor you generally get crappy plans (at least in my experience). I used to never have to go to the doctor though! All this testing was totally "out of network" so I paid upfront in cash and it wouldn't even count towards my deductible (which is very high anyway). I've shelled out well into the five figures of $ over the past 2 years (including the ER bill and an overnight hospital bill). I don't need a GoFundMe, but any support of our small business "Higher Running" (if you need a Training Plan etc.) would be much appreciated! Also check out the film "Starting Over" (by my friend Stephen Gnoza aka "Serious Runner") on Youtube for more context.
Apparently there are only 11 or so hospitals in the US that do some of these procedures. I chose to go with a highly skilled team and highly recommended doctor.
Anyway my heart is fine and pretty strong from what I can see. If anything my plant-based/vegan diet saved me on that because my cholesterol is really good and being a runner also generally helps with everything. It's not like I was low on vitamin B12 or anything. Remember I had been walking around with a bilateral pulmonary embolism for 5 weeks before I went to the ER back in 2021. I started coughing up blood and it was quite painful for a long time. Sometimes I feel like the experience gave me a kind of mild "PTSD" as I'll be laying down in bed at night and it feels like it's hard to breath again (when I had my PE it was so painful I couldn't lay down so I tried to sleep sitting upright on the couch a few nights).
Since then I've had several ultrasounds and bouts of imaging on my heart....that thing is strong and solid!
However the issue was in my lungs (pulmonary embolism is blood clots in your lungs). This of course can cause a lot of high pressure though as it "backs up" towards the heart in the pulmonary arteries.
Since a lot are obsessed about the jab and vax and covid stuff I'll admit that I got the Pfizer vax in April of 2021 (first round). It was about 2-3 days after my second shot that I noticed some dull "back pain" behind my ribs and my chest "felt heavy". I had the usual fever/chills/headache side effects for only 24 hours post 2nd jab. I wish I went to the emergency room at that time, but I was a bit worried about the cost and I just figured I strained a muscle in my back or something.
It wasn't until 5 days later that I went to see a PA (I thought I was seeing a real doctor) and they misdiagnosed me with "Pneumonia" based on a crappy lung X-ray. That delayed things for weeks as they just put me on antibiotics and I figured this is what pneumonia must feel like (it was getting harder to breathe) as I've never had that either and people told me it was "serious".
Whether or not my PE was related to the vax or real COVID (I never showed any symptoms or any cold/flu or real COVID virus) I honestly don't know and the doctors don't know. Given the timing it very well could have been it seems. If that was the case I'd say it's still pretty rare and that I was very unlucky. I've gotten all sorts of vax shots over the years since I've traveled a lot and never had issues. However, I do understand that "COVID things" just seem like a different beast with a lot of unknowns still.
That being said people (even lean endurance athletes in their 30s) can get PEs for dozens of reasons. They pretty much ruled out stuff like Factor V and other blood conditions (I have no family history or genetic predispositions). Other causes can be related to heart defects (I seem to not have any), weird anatomy with things like May-Thurner (not totally ruled out), cancer (mostly ruled out), Lupus etc. Being an endurance athlete at high altitude with a pretty low resting HR is also generally a risk factor I believe. I also flew on a (short) plane flight to CA a few days before all this...however it was like a 1.5 hour flight and I was well hydrated and even walked around during the flight (sitting for long plane flights after running can also be a risk factor for a DVT [clot] as well.)
So the truth is I don't know...and I don't appreciate speculation and assumptions on things (especially since you don't know all the facts) as that is how misinformation and rumors spread.
Anyway, I do appreciate the positive thoughts and for the well wishes. I wish you all good health and running! I plan be back running within 7 days from now....and hopefully can ramp up training again very soon for events later this year.
Nice. Hang in there dude.
Great write up sage! Glad you’re good.
It’s good that you’re keeping an open mind about the cause but you do seem to be doing a little bit of mental gymnastics - you ruled out pretty much everything else, seems pretty obvious it was most certainly the vaccine. It actually is not at all rare to see issues crop up from this vaccine - athletes are dropping dead left and right, myocarditis and other heart ailments in young males are through the roof since 2021. This is not something ever before seen with other vaccines so don’t brush it off as “it’s rare and other vaccines can do this too!” The COVID shot is called “the clot shot” for a reason. That thing is no good.
I say this as someone who supports people getting the full work up of vaccines for MMR and tetanus and meningitis and that sort of thing. It is only the COVID shot I take issue with - it was never WHO/FDA approved before it was forced upon the general public - it seems to me it was essentially a pharmaceutical money grab, or, honestly, a population culler for some unknown reason.
It is truly a shame that this happened to you because you took the shot in good faith but the medical/governmental complex took advantage of that and gave you what they possibly knew was problematic. I hope that you are able to medically and financially recover.
Sage wish you the best and we all hope you have as speedy recovery as possible.
As far as the Vax speculation here it is a very $hitty position you are in regarding that. What I will say is there are people being injured by this vaccine and as data from studies like the one performed by Florida show there is significant increased risk from the MRNA vaccines to certain groups like men under 40. In fact certain European countries have placed restrictions on these vaccines for certain groups or flat out banned some of the MRNA vaccines. There has been an active effort by the government, media, social media, etc. to suppress any discussion about the safety of the vaccines and cover up evidence that conflicts with their narrative. That situations like yours have to be discussed like this sucks, but since we as a society can not have an honest look at the vaccines safety this is where it has led us. There are people at extremely low risk of Covid who are getting the vaccine under a false pretense without having access to accurate data on the cost benefit of getting or not getting vaccinated against Covid and they deserve the full set of facts before making their decision.

Sage, Thanks for ignoring the low quality posts/posters and giving us an update. Sounds like you are doing OK. Best of luck returning to training here shortly.
shouldnt have talked all that crap on barkley...
