She only had 2 races: dmr at ARK, 3k at bu then injury. Perhaps marginal chance at medical red shirt?
Probably won't matter as she still has '22 indoor and COVID indoor and most likely moves on at some point.

I think it is too late in the season to get a medical redshirt

Just say it without being cryptic -
What is the shortcut and what’s the red flag?
Injuries happen, you know. I like both runners and hope they find their way back. I don’t get the mentality of bagging on competitors because they might not be your favorite. Cook in particular is just a freshman. Did she take shortcuts or throw up red flags in high school.
There’s a lot of good young talent in the United States. We should be hoping that all of them do well now and in the future. Comments like yours are disgusting but I guess that haters are gonna hate. Get a life…

to be clear for those that are new to the sport or just like sticking their head in the sand: there is nothing to indicate Cook or Valby have been doping. that would be ridiculous to even suggest.
running is a basic function of supply/demand of energy
doping tends to focus on the supply side
what i'm referring to is the demand side
Oh no!! You are on to her!

Don't be bitter.

You're suggesting an eating disorder. There's nothing to suggest either have one. Yes they're injury prone and run low mileage with lots of cross training, but that and running fast are all they have in common.

Valby was like, why run at nationals when I'm just going to get beat by the same person for the fifth time.
I really believed Valby would run if Tuohy made the gap between her and the rest of the NCAA smaller but no, she's out there running low 4:20s every single time.
Valby prob said, there's no point to take another 2nd place.

Cook does? Has she said so or is that speculation?
I'm not comfortable drawing those types of conclusions on an athlete just because they look like they lost weight. There could be plenty of other explanations. I assume no one has ED until they actually say so because it's none of my business.

valby's second place isnt even guranteed, she got beat by olemomoi and theres at least five runners that can outkick her
Valbymania has created this illusion that she and Tuohy are in the same level during the xc season but we realized during the championships that they were never in the same level.
Valby was running on short fast courses that hyped people up and made them create the illusion. When Tuohy ran down a 12-second gap and cruised to a 3-second win, it showed how much gap Valby still has against Tuohy.
Fast forward indoor season, the gap between Tuohy and Valby isn't getting any smaller as what Valbymania claimed it would be.

this was not helped any by the Lacctic ratings or John Kelloggs analysis saying she was in 1440's shape during XC season. She is a very talented runner but the expectations were too unrealistic

Only a person blind with "Tuohymania" would not see the gap closing. They have raced four times in college.
2021 NCAA XC - 19:43.1 -- 19:50.3 -- 07.2 difference
2022 NCAA XC - 19:27.7 -- 19:30.9 -- 03.2 difference
2022 NCAA East Regional - 15:27.14 -- 15:29.07 -- 01.93 difference
2022 NCAA Championships - 15:18.39 -- 15:20.10 -- 01.71 difference
And if you extend this back through high school. Valby has closed the gap SIGNIFICANTLY.
