Final 5 weeks till 3k race. Give me the breakdown of 5 weeks to peak form off of 60 miles a week and mostly threshold work and some 5k paced work. 9:40-9:45 is goal pace

Your 5th week out from your race should be your hardest week of training. Do your most mileage and hardest workouts this week. You'll probably feel tired after this week. That's ok.
As you get closer to your 3k reduce your mileage and shorten workouts each week.
On race day you'll feel fresh, rested, and ready to rock. He's some inspiration:
I ran about 60 mpw my senior year of HS. Here's what I did 4 weeks before my PR. If I don't specify a run, it was easy (maybe with strides), and an easy run would typically decrease by about 0.5 miles per week.
I'm also adding my notes after about how I was feeling
4 weeks before:
Monday - 6x1k @ cv effort, 3:07 average - felt great
Wednesday: 2x3x500 slightly faster than 3200 pace, hitting 83-84 - felt great
Saturday: 3200 95% effort, 9:20 (right around 5k) - didn't feel tired at all. ripped off 70s and my form / breathing didn't noticeably change.
Sunday: recovery 4
3 weeks before:
Monday - 4 mile threshold @ cv effort, 3:04 - felt even better
Wednesday: 8x200 fast-ish (around 800), mid 28 average, with 1:00 recovery in between - felt fine
Saturday: 2400 at 98% effort (around goal 3200), 800 easy/steady to the finish - hit 6:45 and then 3:00 for the last 800. very solid workout
Sunday: 4 easy
2 weeks before:
Tuesday: 1600 @ 3200 effort (4:35) in trainers, 3 minutes rest, 2x800 @ 3200 effort with 1:00 rest; full rest and spike up, 4x300 from mile to 800 effort (47-44) - tough but very satisfying to finish.
Friday: 4x2k @ cv effort (6:07-6:10), 2:00 rest, 4x200 around 800 effort - very tough but this was a great confidence builder
Saturday: meet that I didn't run in (mainly for the guys competing for the 3rd spots in events). easy 4
Sunday: OFF
1 week before:
Monday: 2000 @ goal 3k (basically 3200) pace - 5:32 in spikes. Very tough but I was getting fit.
Tuesday: recovery 5
Wednesday: recovery 4 + 4x100m 800-ish (14)
Thursday: recovery 4
Friday: premeet
Saturday: 3200 in 8:5x
It’s a last minute decision to run the 3k indoors so I guess as much hard running as I can tolerate the next 4 weeks then taper the last 6 days
pretty much. except I'd begin reducing easy run volume with about 2 weeks to go while maintaining workout volume. I'd always feel flat if I cut my mileage too much
Cool thinking maybe for this week
(Week 1) Monday-
AM Threshold work 2 x 10min
PM 15 x 200s at goal 3k
-Wednesday-
AM threshold work 4 x 5MIN
PM 8 x 600 (400 @ 3k 200 fast)
-Saturday-
5 x 1200 at Threshold
(Week 2) Next week
Tuesday 5 x 800 at 3K pace
Sunday 6k Race but do it at Threshold
(Week 3)
Wednesday 5-6 x 1k @ 3k pace
Saturday 3 x mile @ 10k pace
(Week 4)
Wednesday 15 x 400 @ 5k
Saturday 10 min Threshold + 10 x 1min @ 3k pace
(Week 5)
????
6*1k at 3k pace is tough unless you have really long rests. I would do more things like 10*400@3k pace. And get some 200-300s at 1500n pace.
Personally I would also replace the 6k race with like a mile time trial.
So 3-4 x 1k @ 3k or do you think there is
Pre value in 600-400s

Hello brother, I have question. Did you write your own training program, or did you have a coach. Also, why CV over threshold?
I had a coach, but most of the workouts came from experimenting on what worked best for my teammates and me over one summer.
After the last key workout, though, it was entirely up to us but with lower mileage since I know people who taper best off 3 days and those who need a full 2 weeks
I also use the word "threshold" to refer to any tempo-type run. for this, it was 4 miles at about 10k effort which is a quite hard effort but not all-out.
5x 800 with 2 minutes rest
Do it 7-10 days before your peak race
