I recently noticed that Puma has some interesting running shoes such as the Deviate Nitro. But it seems that for now, you can only buy them and other Puma models directly from the Puma website. You have to pay full MSRP and running shoes are excluded from Puma's frequen flash discounts such as today's sitewide 30% Off sale.
Does anyone know why Puma doesn't partner with third-party online retailers to distribute their shoes to a broader audience? What's the strategy here?
It seems like Puma has in the past couple of years rebooted their running shoe lineup. They have such a small footprint in the market. These new shoes are not available on the major websites such as RunningWarehouse. One would think that Puma would want to get their product out there and be more price competitive so the models can gain traction with runners. There's few reviews of their shoes. Few videos being made on them. It's kind of bewildering because the NITRO models look well designed.
