This statement makes zero sense. If they aren't as good in the events that they are entered into, then the opponents in the events WILL push them to a PR, not the other way around.
"Them" meaning guys the Lanoys are running against is how I read it. Makes sense. Trevor is in the 800. No disrespect, but I dont think he's pushing Eckert (1:53.9) or Ackley (4:08 1600, ?? 800) to a new PR.
Solid. Gabelman has an incredibly high ceiling. We could see him challenge Ackley in the 1600 if that's what Connor runs in June. If not, Gabelman probably goes 4:08-09 for the win.
I thought Gabelman was a 1600m runner only but he has put up solid marks in three events. Impressive.
Gabelman can legitimately go into the Regional meet and run a strong double AND choose his double: 1600 and 3200 or 1600 and 800. Is there anyone else like that in the state? I don't know how Ackley does in the 800m, but who else?

Running 80 mile weeks is one thing, posting that you're doing it as a junior is another.
Gonna defend Weston here. I watched him struggle to break 13 minutes in 8th grade, and saw him repeatedly get his butt handed to him by Gabelman, Miller, Smith, Richuiiti, Saketh, etc, etc., over the years. The guy has since turned himself into a stud, better than any recent Scioto runner - better than any of the Pages, better than McClellan, better than Latif, etc.
He went from a 17:39, maybe 10:30 as a freshman to a 9:18, 15:10, top 20 XC guy as a junior who can compete with the unreal Central OH juniors. Good for him.
Don't misunderstand me, I don't have a problem with him running 80 mpw. Obviously he's highly motivated, and is also doing a lot of things right to improve as he has over the past 3 years. I'd love to coach a kid like him.
My only point was that he might want to reconsider posting his mileage publicly if he's planning to run collegiately, as there are some coaches who shy away from recruiting higher mileage kids for fear they won't be able to improve as much in college. THIS ISN'T TRUE, as many of our greatest runners ran a lot of miles in high school, but unfortunately is believed by lots of college coaches.
Kilbourne: Smith - 11 - 9:21 Hawkins - 11 - 4:30 Miller - 11 - 2:03 Bradley - 10 - 4:51 Deisler - 9 - 10:29 Their top 3 are solid, but 4&5….better but still flawed in comparison to teams like Mason and Mas Jackson
Big Meet this Saturday at Coffman with many of the top central Ohio teams in the state including:
Coffman
Jerome
Scioto
Lancaster
Kilbourne
Hilliard Davidson (Connor Ackley debut)
Also many others That I am most likely forgetting that have a few stand out performers.
The triplets aren’t in the races they’re good at. So they won’t be going against people that could potentially push them to a PR.
Lancaster did not disappoint. The 4x8 is going to be stacked this season with all 4 of the National guys under 2:00 and Trevor Lanoy ran 1.56.9 and Wes Taylor running a 1:55.6. I wouldn’t doubt it if they go sub 7:40

Smith looked great, dropping Liam and K. Lanoy pretty easily at the end. Miller ran multiple events and looked sluggish, and that 800 was stacked. Lancaster was unreal. Schorr and Taylor are becoming forces, looking ready to replace the Lanoys and Thress - who didn't run. Eckert from Liberty ran as advertised. He's not Nastari, but he's pretty darn good. I can see him going 1:51-52 in the right race, considering he has 49 speed. Last... Ackley must be just gearing up for late June. He ran 4 events today - DMR 1600, 4x800, 800, 4x400.

The Lanoy’s did run. Kaiden ran the 1600 and the 4x8 I believe. Isaiah ran the 4x8 and the 4x4 and Trevor had a great race in the 800 running 1:56 and he came back and ran the 4x4 with a split of 52 low
