In real life, IG doesn't matter. If I want to congratulate a close friend from a distance, I do it in private. If I want to send condolences, I do it in private. Not everything needs to be put on blast. In actuality, nothing needs to be put on blast. A like or follow on social media is worth zero compared to some real world interaction.
Those are young kids and what they show on social media is really important to them. As a young guy like them, just know that what we put on social media is really what we want to put and we absolutely know people are going to see it, that’s almost like a symbol. If we start unfollowing a friend or don’t like his posts or don’t tag him in our posts where he appears and then we remove the pictures of him, that’s a way to say « there is something between us », just like you do when you break up with an ex girlfriend. That may look cringe to you but that’s what it is now.
If I like every post of my friend, comment under them, and follow him for years, and then I suddenly stop liking his posts, unfollow him, and stop commenting his posts, that’s because I want to show something, and that’s what Leo and Aaron did. Even more if I start liking comments of people trashing my friend. So I don’t understand how someone could even think there was nothing between them.
Anyway that’s not the subject and I’m glad they worked that out. Honestly I don’t think we will ever see again a HS team where the guy who finished third all season can win nationals by almost 10 seconds in a new course record.
I absolutely understand all of this. It's just dumb as fuch to live like this for any extended amount of time. When you are older and have other responsibilities, are you going to lose all of your friends because you didn't have time to login to social media and like a meaningless post. No. So to do it as a teen is just a way to say " I'm here! I fit in! I'm a part of this cool group!" Eventually most people move on.
Good to see them reunited. I hope this legendary team will continue to crush every record this year, for the last time we get to see them.
Shocking the coach was so immature as to stop following an athlete, and not realize how that would be seen, and how fake it makes the PR releases of "them reunited" seem.

Shocking that people are so immature as to obsessively track who is following who on social medias.
Leo has never stopped following Aaron. Why are you guys creating this narrative?
The other thread got shutdown by Rojo because unsubstantiated claims.
Rojo censoring only added fuel to the fire, and not like the Newbury camp wasn't aware of all this drama and didn't respond, easily squashing all this, because they couldn't, because they were all divided.

No one is or was ever divided. Only the lame MB posters in their basements. Pathetic to even suggest it.

Actually he did, just after Sahlman reposted Wesfly’s reel. I checked it myself. Are you rojo ? That has no point but I can literally send you a proof by email if you really want.
There definitely was. I know Lex and Leo are disappointed, but they still haven’t congratulated Aaron on IG for the win.
Maybe not on IG but both Lex and Sahlman posted photos of Sahlman leaning over Lex after the race. None of us know exactly all that went down before and after the race but judging from the IG posts it looks like discussions were had to patch up things. Hopefully they'll have smooth sailing and a great senior track season ahead.
More lies. Keep starting HS drama and maybe you'll feel god about yourself
Honestly when the 3rd man beats the first and second runners and then they don't show for the awards ceremony, tongues are gonna wag weather its NP or NC State or Podunk HS.

Leo was on the stage late because he was off to the side throwing up. And Lex was in the medical tent.
again more drama created by people who know nothing
The WesFly reel and LetsRun thread about it appeared late Sunday night and were only up for a couple hours.
WesFly then posted a story saying they took the reel down after having a long talk with Lex.
As of Wednesday morning it looks like the Newbury Park guys have begun patching things up.

I didn’t want to have to do that since everything is done and they’re cool now. But since some people who didn’t even follow the story like to say we’re lying, I had to give proofs for my initial claims :
Wesfly deleting the reel Aaron had reposted, after talking with Lex :
There were a lot of other things, but those are the main claims that were called lies in this thread.
In fact, everything that was said on letsrun about things that happened on instagram was true, I checked them all.
The rest is just speculation and we’ll probably never know the real story. It doesn’t even matter, every highschool kid has had beef with his friends at least once, and just because they’re fast doesn’t mean they’re perfect.

Nobody buys this. They've painted themselves into a corner, stick with the "sick" story and come off as German Fernandez head cases, or come clean and admit to being salty and petty.

you don’t buy that a 13:43 track guy who ended up running 15:36 on a not slow cross country course could’ve possibly been in need of going to the med tent?
