Gold and Silver at the WC on the track, 1:05:30 HM (faster than your 10k PB), 2:17:20 Marathon, lot of injury problems.
Notice how Dumbstronglivs didn't reply to you? He can't handle facts that expose his ignorance.
Apparently, neither can you. I pointed out in another post that she has only raced about 10 times since 2016. Injury may account for a break from competing but not fewer than 2 races a year.

Why do you bother responding to a buffoon? I don't want to insult one-trick ponies. They are miles above his intellectual level.
Ayana returned from injury late in 2017 to win the 10,000 world championship then got badly outkicked by Obiri during the final lap of the 5000. She did hang on for silver.
Subsequently she had more serious injuries and it was discovered that her stride was badly uneven, with one leg extending much further than the other. All of this was mentioned here. She attempted a comeback but was woeful at Prefontaine. That result shelved matters.
Ayana is deeply religious. She started emphasizing family on Facebook. A pregnancy followed. Anyone who followed her on Facebook could sense immediately that running was no longer a priority. Every photo was a glowing tribute to her son and husband.
Ayana quietly hinted at a comeback late in 2021 by showing a photo of herself on the track in workout gear. That drew raves and hope from her Facebook followers. She tried to make the Ethiopian 10,000 team for Eugene and ran decently, but failed.
Her marathon debut was months later in Amsterdam. She was very encouraged by that victory over Dibaba. It led to high expectations in London. But that result was obviously a shock and jolt of reality, especially given how her former rival Hassan won that race. Ayana has been completely silent subsequently and in fact deleted a few running related posts.
All of this is from memory. Now it will be followed by a wave of posts from the doping dunce and his unintentional Sergeant Shultz impersonation.
Tell us again about how deeply religious she is. We know the faithful would never dope, since "God" is all they need.

Try to read this, you ignorant narcissist:
Ayana has 13 races listed since 2017. Zero races in 2020 and 2021. So not fewer than 2 races a year when for two years she didn't race at all.

He didn't say she wouldn't dope because of how religious she is. Again, you can't read.
well having a 28 min 10k best in prime years and closing in 27.50, and no coach. and 200 miles/week plus. that's the red flags end to end.
so you have to look into it.
and kipchoge running WR at masters age, that does not compute so well either.
you had a guy like derek clayton run 208 and you might argue with super shoes that is worth 204 with pacing and the right course,. then if you had clayton born at altitude, what then?
so it is believable that someone born at altitude and the talent could pull this off
but not probable.
the record is going to 159 or 158. that is another dimension.

Facts hurt you, don't they?
In the four year period 2018 - 2021 (injury problems, giving birth in 2020), according to WA, she has had just one competition (a half hearted try at 3000m). In the last two seasons she has raced eight times (2023 not yet over), not a lot, but some road / long distance runners have less.
With normal posters, you could just clarify such facts and continue with the discussion. Not so with Dumbstrong, who not even accepts facts. In FACT, he hates them if they disprove his view. Just unbelievable, that a 70+years old can ignore pure facts to such a level like he does, constantly, in THOUSANDS of posts. See thread after thread, day in, day out, many hours every day, not once that he agrees when it's just proved he was wrong in something. Shame on the mods that he is not banned forever since years.

So just over a dozen - 13 - races (not 10!) in 7 years. Since most professional sportsmen/women are competing weekly - often daily - you'll excuse me not being terribly impressed by that kind of turnover for a world record-holder in their prime. Take out the two years of injury (two years? What kind of injury is that? Multiple femoral fractures or a broken spine?) that still leaves about 4 races a year. That's what I might expect from an octogenarian. Is that you?

The desperation to deny these runners are just dopers like bodybuilders and weightlifters is palpable here. Your "facts" are merely a form of "trivial pursuit".

So I see the break is also being attributed to having a child for some of that period. That explains everything. As Kipyegon and others show, it's almost a necessity for reaching the next level - although we have strangely yet to see that with the semi-retired Ayana.

13 races in 7 years does not describe her running in the last years well.
1 attempt in the four year period 2018 - 2021, three out of four seasons where she didn't compete at all. She didn't compete because of doping? Maybe you explain this. She had injury problems and did give birth in 2020. But it's very unusual for a WR holder, Olympic and World champ to not compete during - what might have been - prime years. So, what's the explanation for it?
5 and 3 competitions in the last two seasons (2023 not yet over).
