The last graduating class of BYU girls didn’t have incredible times coming out of high school but 3 left as NCAA Individual champs and they went 2-1-2 at XC nationals.
A few detractors on this board whine about Taylor because they don’t like her style but she’s produced results.

There is a LOT of success outside of making 1 of the 50 national meets available.
My great grandfather ran one race in high school--a 6:48 mile. He walked on at D-1 in state program and ran 4:08 by his senior year.
