I looked at the course map for the NE regional at VCP and noticed that it doesn’t go through the back hills or cemetery. Its just a bunch of loops that is basically the freshman course so whoever is running there got a mostly flat one on deck
I can't believe that. It's one of the country's most iconic courses and they took out the toughest parts, which made it a true CC course.
Do you guys really know they held her out or that she just didn't run? I guess I'm asking if you know for a fact she's running fine and they just didn't run her. Or is this a guess? Genuinely interested.
Hmm, I'm not a fan of you get in regardless of regional performance because you are supposedly so great. Why have regionals at all if you are going to be able to keep out all your top runners, place 6th, and still get in. Unless 3rd, 4th, and 5th place teams also in, I wouldn't even consider BYU. But I'm not voting...
I don't think its a vote and teams get PUSHED in. Therefore, I don't think BYU gets in unless the 5 teams in front get in.

You clearly don't know how selections are made on multiple fronts

From my experiences, I'm not surprised. NCAA coaches due not want a difficult course for regionals, with nationals just 8 days away. I've never understand why D1 doesn't have regionals 2 full weeks before nationals, as is done in D2.
For those of you checking the live blog on the front page, we have the NCAA women's teams up now.
Assuming there were no B teams and Bo Waggoner's results during the season were correct. Here are your NCAA women's teams.
Only one difference from our Thursday pre-race projections: the Oregon State women, who ran a great race to get 4th in the West, are in while Furman, who were 4th in the Southeast, are out.

This is who we have as the projected 31 qualifiers, based on Bo's computer program. These should be the teams at NCAAs unless anyone ran a wacky team today that made one of their results from earlier this year a B team (in which case, let us know).

Hmmmm, it appears that California Baptist may have been a bit overrated on the women’s side or just had a bad day. Not a horrible performance at regionals but not great. Losing to Washington and unranked Oregon State

All the teams ahead of them are projected to be in plus the next team behind them. It is a strong region.
By the way they finished 3rd in the region last year and 2nd at nationals.
