Rumors swirling that Starliper is nursing another injury and is not training with the team. How true?
If true that’s gonna be a game changer for nc state i feel!
Great at recruiting but poor at coaching
Oh no... for Marlee's sake I hope this resolves quickly. She has been through a lot.
how so? your comment has no merit, no explanation, and trying to imply that the injury of Marlee has something to do with coaching has to be proven. Put up or shut up.
Does anyone have an update on Starliper and whether we will see her for indoors?

If she transfers after cross can she run in winter for another team?
Has Brooke Rauber run that fast - she is 20
years old and finished 90th the last xc champs ? Solid but not something to brag about … she was an older freshman in general.
Marlee should walk away and go to a smaller program where she can be the focus of training and have success… nc state has so much talent / they just have to hvave a few succeed. Like saying Rauber “a 20 year old red shirt freshmen” being called an amazing success story is cools
Rauber was a top 5 scorer on a national champion team and ran well at Nationals, gaining 17 places in the last k. I'd say that is very successful.
You keep pushing this narrative that moving up late gets a team a bonus in scoring. The gun goes off and the runners traverse a course and they all finish at the same spot. It doesn't matter if a runner gains or loses spots int the 1st k or last k.
So moving up is not scoring? It is called running a smart, controlled race.
Anyway think about how many high school runners more highly regarded or comparably regarded who never even make their team's starting seven. Meanwhile someone is taking shots at a runner who was a top five scorer on a national championship team who will have a good chance to AA.
not sure it's taking shots at a runner. I think just saying rauber isn't some huge success story for the coach, she is running well, but not some amazing success. She was 90th at nationals, she is 20 years old, she is good. But she was top 6 at NXN multiple years - thats good recruiting and keeping her solid, thats not great developing
Henes is not a good coach. Just look at her daughter already jumping Tuohy.
Elly won the NCAA championship in the 5k outdoor at NC State. And I don't think Elly was some big time recruit out of high school. Sure, she's continue to lower her times after going pro. But the fact that she's lowering her times from college after going pro is certainly not "proof" that Laurie was a "bad coach". That's ridiculous.
Guess Mark Wetmore, Mike Smith, and Mick Byrne are bad coaches too... Hoare, Beamish, Klecker, Hurta etc. all dropped ridiculous amounts of time right after college. Hell, Klecker dropped over a minute in the 10k I think. All of the Bowerman folks did the same, but I guess it's hard to know why...
Huge difference from being a college athlete and a pro athlete my friend
and look at Tuohy running faster than most American pro times while in college.
I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
