It's quite clear that she's already capable of 14.20. When she starts training more than 2 days a week a sub-14 is in sight. Cross-training is the way to go.
Since I brought this up, I watched the race video again and though the coverage missed this section on the first loop, it did show it on the second loop and the course route that they ran, at least for that section, does look like it goes via the map. So that is out as a reason for what seems to be a short course.
Look, the conversions are clear and we know what they mean. There's a natural progression and then there is a natural progression. I'm not saying anything that hasn't been said and I can't be any more clear on that. And, if you look at body language at the end of these races, then I don't think it gets more obvious. This is the last time I'll make any comment on this, until the next time I make a comment on this.
of course, and she and Mercy both ran a 2:50 1K for their 3rd K....and the rest of the field all accelerated for that K too.....Why do I think they skipped the veer to the right after 1 K on W course that is not part of M course? Conveniently during a commercial break on the video though.

I was at the SEC meet in Oxford in person to watch my daughter run. The course narrowed down very quickly to 10 meters wide and stayed that way the rest of the route. There were spectators and officials all over the course. It would have been very difficult to shorten the course, even if all tangents were hit perfectly. Also -- I would assume that at least one official and one coach checked the distance. If it was 100 or 200 meters short, we would have heard about it.
As long as no one can explain how she is able to progress and run these times all while suffering injuries, the doping allegations will follow her. It does not help who her coach is and his history and connection with doping.

Of course the dumbest poster on LC agrees with this nonsense.
Valby will be running 14:30 in two years while Tuohy will be stuck at 14:55. Valby will be a pro while Tuohy will be in the NCAA so you will have forgotten about Valby.
Did you calculate the years where Valby will be banned?
