I have a Suunto Ambit 3 Run and Suunto Ambit 3 Peak that I use interchangeably, more or less. I liked their Movescount app and in particular, I liked that you could view your EPOC during the workout.
Let's say I was doing 1000s with a 200 jog. The EPOC graph could tell me whether EPOC was going up during the jog, staying steady, or going down. Then, I could adjust the jog time or pace accordingly.
Unfortunately, Suunto discontinued Movescount awhile back. I just downloaded the stuff for my phone and computer to use their new thing, simply called Suunto App. I didn't see EPOC on the charts.
I started a chat with customer service at Suunto. The customer service guy didn't know what EPOC (Excess Post Exercise Oxygen Consumption) was! He had no explanation of why Movescount had it and the new app doesn't. Nor would he let me communicate directly with the development team to find out why the new app is "better" yet is missing one of my favorite features.
Does anyone here know if you can get EPOC data from a Garmin or other similar Suunto competitor company? Thanks in advance.
