The more interesting question is if Kipchoge is better at running marathons than anyone else alive is at doing... whatever they are best at. That is, who is the greatest of the GOATS, even when not just limiting to sports?
Scoring tables aren't as accurate as you think they are. They're based on historical data and in the case of the women's 400h it's an event that has been historically dominated by women who were too slow to make their countries 400 flat team.
Sydney just got the women's 400h world record to where it should be. It's not any greater than most of the other current world records.
He has won 15 of the 17 marathons he entered, won back-to-back Olympic golds, is the current world record holder, and broke two hours in an exhibition. What current athlete is better at their sport?
Of the above Carlsen and Bolt are the most impressive since their sports aren't team-based and have much deeper elite fields than the rest (Kipchoge included).
She has 1 Olympic gold, 1 World gold and 1 World silver. She has set 4 WRs
On the other hand, Muhammad has 1 Olympic gold and 1 Olympic silver, 1 World gold and 2 World silver. She has set 2 WR's
At present, Muhammad has the superior hardware, with McLaughlin the superior WR count. But I rank Muhammad currently as the best female 400m hurdler AT. McLaughlin can overtake her in the next couple of seasons, but she isn't there yet.
Note McLaughlin's medal tally is currently the same as Sally Gunnell's and Melaine Walkers.

LOL. McLaughlin has 7 of the 10 fastest times in history in that event! Already the GOAT!

Chess isn't a sport. And most of those other guys are retired.
But Mondo is as dominant as Kipchoge. And no one in baseball has done what Ohtani is doing since Babe Ruth a hundred years ago.
Tom Brady! He has more Super Bowl wins than every single team in the NFL!!
Well as someone said, the 400H is certainly not one yu pick due to its importance. But...that wasnt the question. I think its a toss up. Peole who have not run midsprints have no idea how dominating her performance has been. She has destroyed the record and is beyond a shadow of a doubt the GOAT in her event. And for the most part you could say the same as Kipchoge.
Of course it is Kipchoge! Sydney Goat status in the 400mh is still debatable. I give Dalilah the slight edge imo. Sydney needs to win one more global to surpass Dalilah.
