Looking at Lex's instagram page, he only follows a few schools: UCLA, Oregon, Colorado, NAU (but not the track account), and Stanford. My guess is Stanford since he follows the school page, track page, the athletics page, women's soccer page, and most importantly the alumni page
Leo is also following Stanford and NAU, but does not follow Oregon, Colorado, and UCLA. Guessing both end up in Palo Alto next fall

I think they do well in school, Leo maybe a little more into studying than Lex, but I don’t think NP is a particularly rigorous high school. They take AP classes and do well. I’m sure they’re smart enough to handle Stanford. I mean Ryan hall made it through Stanford. They’re also into the entrepreneurial vibe that Stanford has going on.
What about CU? Do you think they might go there?
I mean they do call CU the Harvard of the Rockies. The smartest athlete I remember a guy that ran 8:55 and 4:09 back in the late 1990's that skipped the D1's and attended Tufts University because he wanted a good career and realized Running was just an activity. Focussing on being a pro runner is like getting excited about mobile home living there is no real money in our sport to make a pro career really worth while.
As a Tufts alum I love that. But 8:55 in the 90’s was flying! The nescac generally has smart fast kids though.
I’ve never understood that backup plan mentality. If you’re passionate about something you should go for it. Athletics is no different than any other passion. Pursue your dreams with boldness, and learn what it takes to be the best. THAT is the path to a successful life.
Hopefully for their sake whichever school has the best academics for their chosen major. I hope they don't make running the priority, use it as a means to a free education.
This is so dumb tbh. They are 2 of the best recruits in HS history, if pro running is what they want to do then they absolutely should optimize for that. Not everyone needs to be focused on getting a 9-5 job.

Sounds like they’re going to be doing both in Palo Alto
A reliable source close to the recruiting of the Young brothers told me they were down to three schools just prior to Brosnan going to UCLA. NAU and Stanford are one and two in no particular order then UVA a solid three. This was just before Brosnan's announcement so who knows at this point.
It will be interesting to see if they go the same place or not. Imagine this board will blow up either way but if they DON'T go to NAU or UCLA or don't go to the same school that would shock me.
Personally I would never choose a school they said where my brother goes. I went to a completely different college than either of my brothers.
I always find it weird when Brothers go off to the same school just because their sibling is going there. The only exception is if they're part of a legacy with their father.

North, South, East or West, there is only ONE Hhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaaavvvvvvvvuuuuuuuuhhhhhhd!!
I happen to know for a fact that they're going to Ave Maria in Florida to be coached by ALAN WEBB!!! They will run cross country and track and also pick up swimming so they can train under him all year long! Expect all their instagram posts going forward to contain ecclesiastical Latin! They will even both shave their heads to become aerodynamic and both move to triathlon within a year! WEBB IS BACK BABY
