Someone needs to say it- let's not ignore the fact that Cheruiyot and Wightman raced one additional incredibly fast race in the last three weeks that Hoare didn't qualify for...
Much like when Nostradamus published Les Prophéties in 1555, I, to, summoned my supernatural prophetic abilities to aptly predict that Oliver Hoare would win the day.
Outside of Jakob, no one has been more consistently great this year than Mr. Hoare.
Congratulations to the best distance coach in America and his star pupil.
Tim is the consummate front runner. At his best, he runs up front and for time. Kipsang has run too many races this year. He peaked in June which is not ideal.
And your parents didn't even marry until you were both in college so there has to be some kind of moral statute of limitations in play but you both keep it quiet anyway. Your parents sure are happy the two of you keep coming to visit them so much these days! Win Win!
Jake ran slightly wider between 400m and 1200m compared to Eugene and it looks to have cost him.
But Ollie ran absolutely perfectly and deserved to win. Tim also ran a very high quality race.
And a massive shout out to Sam Tanner on his best performance ever, when it mattered.
Incredible race. We've had two memorable 1500's in two weeks.
I worried for him on the final bend. He was in lane 2 but that helped him in the end. He finished in lane 3 and Cheruiyot had made a move (either deliberate or inadvertent due to tiredness) to block him just before the line but he couldn't get across.
Kerr with DFL is an awful result. He needs something to find his mojo again. This is where coaching comes in
You guys and your obsession with lane 1. Hoare was in lane 2 the entire race.
