Davidson is going to blow for the foreseeable future
Teams that have been that good for a long time have a habit or reloading or having guys come out of nowhere just when you're ready to write them off. Too early to tell IMHO.

Davidson returned 4 of their top 7 (including Ackley) and went from third in 2021 to only fifth in 2022. And Mas Jackson had an underwhelming performance.
But Davidson did make a huge jump from the start of the season when they placed 4th at the opener to some not-so-highly ranked teams

Seems like a lot of the same teams are in it year after year. Also don't be surprised if Creek comes out of nowhere. Seems like Abby Roberts has led the team back to a podium level threat. Look out for the top teams to make a trip to NXN.
Boys:
1) Mason (A lot of people think Massillon Jackson, but they just can't get it done)
2) Massillon Jackson
3) St. Xavier
4) Worthington Kilbourne
5) Chardon
Seems like a down year on the team side for the boys.
Even though the Mason boys team is losing a lot of seniors, they will still be very deep next year. Some good indoor track times already from nonseniors- Jerry Xu - 9:44 3200 / 15:32 XC Will Buckalew - 9:59 3200 / 16:15 XC Max Liao - 4:20 1600 / 15:37 XC Brendan Roe - 4:34 1600 / 16:05 XC Jason Xu - 4:38 1600 / 16:52 XC Max Greco - 4:40 1600 / 16:55 XC Noah Kelly - 4:49 1600 / 10:05 3200 / 16:34 XC Alex Follmer - 16:29 XC / 10:15 3200
Liao / older Xu / Roe were the only nonseniors that finished in Mason’s top 7 last year. It’s crazy that Mason produces so much talent. Mason had many seniors in the top JV too. And they still produce depth after losing many people.

It's all about Wayne Wheeler, the 80+ year old Mason Middle School CC/Track coach.
All of the Mason HS stars, and a good amount of the St. Xavier stars, run for Coach Wheeler in Middle School.

Those guys are all hacks
Those guys have all been members of State Championship teams twice.

It’s ok that Mas Jackson didn’t get it done last season. They had almost no seniors on varsity. Next year they will be much more motivated to perform at their best at state and try to win it.
Based on some key workouts from the Dublin Scioto runners, their secret algorithm has predicted a 14:59.70 for Boston Berry on the Westerville North course at OCCs next fall. Some other key finishes are as follows:
Owen Kockentiet - 14:59.71
Michael Kinzer - 14:59.72
Ben Gabelman - 14:177.35
Ryan Smith - 14:263.10
To clarify, the DSHSXC algorithm only gives times in terms of 14 mins because they expect all of their runners to be sub 15 or else they are cut from the team and publicly humiliated.

I know you're being facetious, but the OCC Capital is just sick - not just this spring, but next fall as well. Here's what you have. Most come from just four schools (W. North, Kilbourne, Scioto, and Big Walnut)...
This is NOT a facetious post. Scioto is reloading HEAVY next year, and will be aiming for the OCC, District, Regional, and State title in 2023. I have sources that Scioto are doing numerous 10 mile tempo doubles, with many 100 mile weeks. Look out for them this fall!

You're totally clueless and dreaming if you think Scioto will win the state meet!! But thanks for the laugh...

Also, 100 mile weeks? Yeah, OK. The coach is an idiot if he is having high school kids run 100 mile weeks.

They can aim all they want. Kilbourne has owned the OCC Capital since the realignment (back to back in '21 and '22), and they 3-peat next year. Quite easily, I might add.
