Good battle in Class A, Rypkema for the W. They would have mixed it up well with 2nd and 3rd in AAA.

Perham wins as a team too.
In AAA it was a boys and girls sweep from the team standpoint.
It will be tougher to do in class A since Heritage Christian is so good
That's correct, just track eligibility left.
Razor thin battle between Perham, Luverne, Heritage Christian and Park rapids at the 2 mile
Perham deep through only 4 it seems like
No way Perham holds on to win this

Losing McCleary sure took a toll on the team even though he was the only one gone
Is he only doing track at the UMN? Nowhere to be found on the XC roster. He won this class A XC race too
3 sophomores in the top 5, 7th ranked runner Josiah DeMars finishes 67th. Heritage Christian with the W without a low stick.

Pretty sure he redshirted this season.
I believe today was the first time all season when the Mounds View boys team beat Stillwater
Class A winner would have been 18th in AAA. Lot of points for a winning team, Heritage Christian held their ranking. Small upset for the winner.
Tesfaye Young (senior who was on varsity for Perham in 8th and 9th grade) breaks 16 here
would have made the Class A team battle interesting if he was still here
AA girls: Luna Scorzelli 8 second lead @ 2 miles.
Luna in 17:45.

Shouldn’t he still be on the roster then?
Emmett Anderson graduated HS in 2021 and he was listed on last year’s roster for the UMN and he redshirted

Looks like her team took it home easy
A grand total of six girls under 18 minutes today, including one (Abbey) under 17.
3 in AAA
2 in A
1 in AA
In the Class AA boys race it will be a razor thin battle on both the individual and team side.
Looks like it’s Heritage Christian’s first state title. And they didn’t even make state last year. Highest finish was 13th

Wayzata's top two ran better than expected.
Look at how Lakeville North's 2nd and 3rd closed, passing 24 runners in the last 1.1, did they go out too slow?
Roeville's top 2 finished in swapped places from what I would have expected.
Sutter really went for it, finished better than his ranking.
Jones wins by nearly 3.5 seconds and the two Minneapolis studs had a huge gap on former state champion and 3rd place.
According to my on-site correspondent, Mechura lost his shoe at the mile. The fact he finished where he did is extraordinary.
Parker Valby post 5k interview... Worst of all time? Are Parker Valby interviews always cringe?
